I’ve been working on a system of sensors that use Artnet o OSC to communicate over a network.
This allows me to create interactive experiences by simply configuring the sensor and interfacing with most industry-standard lighting, video, audio consoles.
I started using the ESP8266 and eventually migrated to the ESP32.
I’ve tried a number of sensors, so far my favorite is the VL53L0X Time-of-Flight Flight Distance Measurement Sensor. Although there are others I have been using for more specific applications.
I use a laser cutter engraver to make my enclosures. I’d like to move to plastic injection molding soon.
